The Stain and Seal process utilizes Tristar's technically superior cleaning techniques to deep clean and etch away the dirt and residue in the top layers of grout. When the surface is cleaned of all contamination, a patented colored sealer is applied giving the grout line an even and uniform appearance. The Stain and Seal works by filling in pores and cracks, then forming Ionic bonds with the grout (i.e. two different atoms sharing electrons to create a more stable molecule.) This process creates an impenetrable layer on the grout line which dirt and stains cannot adhere.
